Welcome to my first attempt at Blogging!

The Bothy Book's Design Team have nagged and nagged me to do this for at least a year.

"But I am a writer!" I protest. "I can't be doing with this Blog Thingy!"

"And what do writers do?" I am questioned politely.

"Write."

"And what are we asking you to do on your Blog?" I am questioned courteously.

"Write."

"Right, so write!" I am commanded civilly.

So, I am totally scuppered! Hence, I have no alternative but to quit moaning, keep quiet, knuckle down and get very on with this.

The first thing I want to say is, thank you so much to all of you who have supported Joni-Pip by buying, reading and loving her!

My Scottish neighbour tells me that I must accept no reviews or criticism from anyone, dead or alive, if they haven't read the entire book. Sound advice, if you ask me.

So, very special thanks to Flip. She has worked tirelessly for the Circleites (fans of Joni-Pip, for the ill-informed, check out her own Blog and see for yourselves:- http://www.circleitesblogspot.com/ ), for some time now.

I have been so busy recently with events, book signings, talks and things that I am left stuck in the middle of writing a chapter, with all these amazing seeds sprouting in and around my mind, desperate to be planted on a page.

Last week, I was invited by Simon Greenish, Managing Director of Bletchley Park, to have a mosey around the massive cellars under The Mansion there ( www.bletchleypark.co.uk ). It was amazing, I had a wonderful time! Simon has promised to send me the pictures he took. When he does, I will post them on here. For anyone who doesn't know anything about Bletchley Park, it was the Home of The Code Breakers in the Second World War.

Simon asked me, a good two years ago, if I would like to include Betchley Park in Book Two of the Circles Trilogy. In all honesty, I forgot but I met up with him in Felmersham, the beautiful Bedfordshire village, when he gave a talk about The Enigma Machine and he invited me to the, said inspection of the Cellars. So I have dutifully re-written the story so far in Book Two, with Bletchley Park in mind.

For any of you who have read Book One of the Circles Trilogy, The Life in the Wood with Joni-Pip, you will know my fascination with cellars. As a child we had a large cellar under our beautiful house. The stone steps were exactly as I described them in chapter one.

I hope to add a few things before I leave today (if I have the technology), and I would love to hear from any of you whom I have either met at Book Signings or any Book Event or have read Joni-Pip and liked her!
